FINALLY! Performance anterri now available in black

OK, many of you have chuckled when I've mentioned my "performance anterri", but a couple of years ago I felt that there was a great need for a very durable, yet lightweight and breathable anterri that would stand up to the toughest daily use, particularly for those who wear an anterri on a daily basis or those who have only one anterri (seminarians in particular). A client of mine who works in construction offered to test-drive the garment if I could find the right fabric and so I was off to my local high-tech fabric wholesaler on a mission. I found an excellent fabric in 100% stretch woven, wicking nylon. The nylon was breathable, the stretch made it comfortable and didn't put too much stress on seams, and the wicking kept perspiration at bay. Plus, it was machine washable and really light--just over a pound for a fully-made anterri! Eureka, I thought! Unfortunately, the supplier only had it in pewter gray (which is a very nice color, but a little more limited in use) and despite my almost-monthly phone calls, I couldn't find anything in black--blue, red, orange, all were readily available, but no black.

Last week, after turning down yet another client who wanted it in black, I decided to go down to the warehouse and go through every bolt in the place if necessary to find black performance fabric. Imagine my delight when I walked in the door and they informed me that 200 yards of my black fabric had just come in that morning! It was even the same manufacturer as my original pewter gray fabric. So, I am now very happy to offer the performance anterri in black. As mentioned, it is machine-washable (drip dry is best--it dries fast because of the wicking properties) and very lightweight.
